From the farn Pietralta, a white road immersed in a dense forest leads to the ancient Convent of San Vettore, restored and transformed into an accommodation facility by the Niesel couple, the current owners. The first historical records of the monastery date back to the 11th century, when San Vettore was inhabited by the Vallombrosani monks and the Benedictine nuns who built here the cloister, their dormitory and other monastic rooms whose ancient remains are still visible today, next to ruins of the Romanesque church.
